Why Bridge to Alchemy?
Nic wanted a name that felt like POSSIBILITIES and that showed a health coach could support folks, but that ultimately they were the person in charge of the journey and the destination.
Alchemy is the process of turning something seemingly plain to something extraordinatry-though it initially spoke of changing metal to gold, why couldn’t that talk about shaping a body that feels like it is broken and unwell to one that helps folks thrive and live a life of joy, ease, and purpose?!
At Bridge to Alchemy, Nic strives to help you find your own version of alchemy through Integrative Health Coaching using many evidence-based tools, including:
Motivational Interviewing & High-Mileage Questions
Empowerment Coaching
Transtheoretical Model (Stages of Change)
Mindfulness & Somatics
Nic is also preparing to add other modalities of healing to sessions, including:
Reiki
Sound Bowl Healing
About Nic
Nicole (she/they) is a queer, disabled, Integrative Health Coach with a passion for helping folks reconnect and become a team with their bodies to work towards a life of joy and ease. In a world that can feel unsafe for many, Nic invites you to be curious about the possibility of feeling safe in your own body.
Nic’s own chronic illnesses include hypermobile EDS, POTS, small fiber neuropathy, vocal chord dysfunction, MCAS, possible Sjögren’s, and vestibular migraines. They have sought treatment from both western and eastern healing modalities and have found a combination of both to be key.
Previous to health coaching, Nic worked in a hospital setting as a Child Life Specialist, striving to help children and families understand new diagnoses and procedures, as well as support them through traumatic event recovery or bereavement. Many youths frequented the hospital for mental and behavioral health treatment, leading Nic to realize they both could not be healthy without being safe first and that their home environment wasn’t changing. She then moved to doing in-home therapy where the broader state systems greatly affected families, so she took a job doing service and placement procurement for those involved with Child Protective Services.
Now, Nic plans to use what they learned at the Institute for Integrative Nutrition’s Health Coaching Program, along with her own life and professional experience, to meet folks where they are at in their health journey. Nic’s health began to improve when she both lived a life more aligned with her purpose and when she began to look inward and connect with herself instead of dissociating with her symptoms. Nic believes in becoming a team with your body will start to create a foundation for the healing process to begin, and that it is possible to feel safe in your body when trust is rebuilt.
